Mr. Faulk was born and raised in
Charlotte,
North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army Artillery from 1977 to 1981, and in the North Carolina Army National Guard from 1981 to 1983.
Mr. Faulk graduated from the
University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983, and then earned an MBA from the
College of
William and Mary in 1985. Mr. Faulk then served as a banking officer for several large banks before law school.
Mr. Faulk earned his law degree at
Florida
State
University in 1992, and was admitted to practice law in
Florida in 1992 and
North Carolina in 1998.
Mr. Faulk established his law practice in Charlotte in 1998 serving business law clients.
Mr. Faulk is also an author of various books on business and legal matters. Mr. Faulk is the author of Firearms Law of North Carolina, the premier reference work on the topic.
